Heathrow ranked as Europe’s ‘most stressful airport’
Updated: Apr 22
HEATHROW has been voted as most ‘stressful airport’ in Europe, according to a public relations company.
The Digital PR Hub at Legacy Communications viewed and analysed over 10,000 passenger reviews, 2,500 tweets and hours’ worth of flight data to find out who would take the top spot.
Dublin Airport was voted as the second most stressful Europe airport. It found itself victim to an increase in the number of delayed flights in recent months due to shortages in staff. They were followed by Manchester Airport in third position.
Claire O’Grady, of the Digital PR Hub at Legacy Communications, based in Ireland, said: “The fact that Dublin and Manchester Airport were so close to Heathrow in the rankings in spite of having significantly fewer annual passengers was a very interesting pattern within the data – especially given that the other airports listed in the top ten also had significantly higher passenger numbers”.
A Heathrow spokesperson said: “We are expecting passenger numbers, ones not seen since March 2020. “We have been preparing for this for months, but like most airports, we do anticipate that the travel experience may take slightly longer during peak periods”.
