Tributes to respected chairman
THE Chairman of Uxbridge Football Club, Alan Holloway, has passed away after a short illness.
Alan had been Chairman of the club in Horton Road, West Drayton, for more than 30 years.
The club at Horton Road, West Drayton, made the announcement this week, saying that their long serving and respected Chairman had died after a short illness.
They added: "Alan became Chairman in 1990 following a successful playing career in non league football and has wisely guided the Clubs affairs throughout the past thirty years."
The club, known as "The Reds" whose ground is Honeycroft, were established in 1871 and are one of the oldest clubs in the South of England
Details of funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in due course.
