A Conversation with the Cast:
Just before the opening of Zorro the Musical, I was lucky enough to get to talk to Phoebe Panaretos, who plays Inez to find out more about the show and her character.

Q: What can audiences expect from Zorro the Musical?
A: They can expect to have a fun night out! The show has so much to offer, in one moment you are swept up in the glorious music of the Gipsy Kings, then laughing at the story played out on stage. There are also surprisingly moving moments too which pull at your heart strings. Zorro has it all!
Q: What has been the highlight of the rehearsal process for you?
A: I have absolutely loved working with this group of people, one of the loveliest hard-working companies I have been a part of. After such a long time away from the stage due to the pandemic, just being surrounded by other creatives has been a real gift.
Q: If you could take one trait from your character, what would it be?
A: It is Inez’s strength of character I respect the most. She knows who she is and what she stands for and I love that about her. She epitomises what I consider to be a “Queen”.
Q: What is your favourite Gispy King song?
A: It has to be Bamboleo, it’s Inez’s big son in the show and it’s a joy to sing and dance every night. It conjures passion within me and hopefully the audience too.
