THE Hillingdon Herald has launched a petition on change.org to call for a commissioner to be appointed.

 

A Heathrow Residents' Commissioner is proposed to provide unbiased monitoring and to assess whether expansion plans meet all four requirements previously set for any project involving a third runway.

 

This is part of our Back The Blockers campaign, which was launched at the end of last year following the Government's announcement vowing to back the builders rather than the 'blockers' at Heathrow.

 

Back the Blockers was launched in December outside Parliament with the support of local MPs David Simmonds and John McDonnell, as well as Lord Randall of Uxbridge.
