Balcony flat fire in Ruislip

60 firefighters and eight fire engines were rushed to a fire at a block of flats on Pembroke Road in Ruislip this morning.

A balcony on a seventh-floor flat was partially destroyed by the blaze and there have been no reported injuries so far.

The fire brigade was called at 4:26am and by 6:16am the fire had been put under control.

Fire crews from Ruislip, Hillingdon, Harrow, Northolt, Wembley, Southall and other surrounding fire stations were called in.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
