Board game cafe to open second store in Uxbridge

BOARD game cafe D20 is opening a new store in Uxbridge this summer.

The company already runs a branch in Watford. The new D20 store will have approximately 900 board games alongside food and drink, cocktails, regular events on weekdays and weekends and quizzes. Page Costas, 36-year-old owner of the original Watford branch, said: "Back when we first opened in 2017, Uxbridge was one of the places we were keen to be as I had previously lived there, and loved the area.

“As soon as we were in a position to expand Uxbridge was the first place we looked. We plan on bringing over a lot of our community events such as CCGs, social gaming events and quiz nights, as well as some new and exciting twists on our Watford cafe.”

The cafe will be opening the new store on 21a Windsor Street, Uxbridge, UB81AB. This was previously Le Petit Beauty Salon.

Currently, the company is renovating and part of that is creating a Shire (from Lord Of The Rings) themed back room.

Categories for the games will include strategy, adventure, cooperative, two-player, over-18, trivia and many more. These events precisely consist of pub quizzes, Marvel matches and Dungeons & Dragons.

The name D20 comes from the 20-sided dice used when playing the popular tabletop role playing game Dungeons and Dragons.
