First blood for Tories in council elections as Jane Palmer wins
Conservative Jane Palmer has become the first member to be elected on to Hillingdon Council in the 2022 elections.
She held the Harefield seat with 929 votes. The Green Party had 524 votes and Labour tallied 179.
Cllr Palmer has previously been Cabinet member for health and social care.
The voting turn-out in Hillingdon in the 2022 local elections has fallen by almost 3% compared to four years ago.
The turn-out for the borough in the May 5 polls was 35.39, compared to 38.31 in 2018. The figure for the 2014 elections was 35.76%.
