Shoppers are having a hoot of a time in Uxbridge at a stall dedicated to showing off the beauty of owls and eagles. The creatures are currently on display at a stall in the High Street run by Berkshire Birds of Prey, an organisation based in Bracknell. The aim is to raise funds to help preserve the birds, as well as educating the public about their safety and survival. Charlie, a volunteer at Berkshire Birds of Prey, pointed out few vital things to the Hillingdon Herald regarding the survival of the birds. He said: “During the lockdown, to keep the birds safe, a thorough sanitisation and wearing of gloves was ensured and only experts were allowed in the aviary premises to look after the allergies.” He added, “Even the post-lockdown bird shows forbids touching them and the funds generated from it are completely invested in their maintenance, which is not expensive but time consuming.” The stall will remain on the High Street until the end of the month.
