Fundraising tribute opened after death of Mohamed Muhiyidin
A FUNDRAISING page has been opened following the death of Mohamed Muhiyidin in Harlington on Sunday October 31. The effort, which was started on crowdfunding platform Gofundme, has raised £3,188 at the time of publishing. A tribute was paid on the webpage, which included a message in memory of Mr Muhiyidin from his family as well as prayers. Metropolitan Police opened a murder investigation when Mr Muhiyidin was found dead on Sipson Lane in Harlington, after a passing motorist noticed a person at the side of the road. According to the police, a post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest. His family are being supported by specialist officers. Police have said anyone with information should call 101 or tweet @MetCC, giving the reference 2365/31OCT.
A total of six people have been charged in connection with the investigation. A 38-year-old man was charged with the murder of Mr Muhiyidin. He was also charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life. A 44-year-old man was charged with assisting an offender. A 28-year-old man charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of a firearm with intent to commit violence and assisting an offender. A 16-year-old male was charged with assisting an offender. A 65-year-old man was charged with possession of a firearm and assisting an offender. A 41-year-old man was charged with assisting an offender and fraud by false representation.
