Man dies after being found with stab wounds in Yiewsley

A murder investigation has been launched after a man died in West Drayton in the early hours of today (January 4).

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was found with stab wounds in Yiewsley High Street, West Drayton, police said.

Officers were called at 00:12 but, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at 00:43, the Metropolitan Police said.

The man’s next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.

No arrests have been made at this early stage, police said this morning.

Some roads in the area were closed while inquiries were carried out.

Police have asked anyone with information to call 101 or tweet @MetCC giving the reference number 0063/04JAN.
