Queues at petrol stations

DRIVERS across Hillingdon are stuck in long queues at petrol stations amid shortages.

Customers are being urged not to panic-buy and are being encouraged to fuel up only when needed. Long queues formed on the Denham Road this afternoon towards the M40 as cars waited at petrol stations, some of which are already running out.

BP has been forced to close some petrol stations due to the lack of HGV drivers delivering petrol. BP replied to a comment on twitter saying: “We’re working hard to ensure customers have access to fuel and apologise for any inconvenience. We’re not rationing fuel - instead we’re minimising closures & prioritising supply to motorway service areas & major roads.”
